How did you secure your wiring harness from your roof mounted light bar along the windshield? I was thinking some kind of adhesive or Silicone to hold it in place but would be removable with damaging paint or moulting if windshield had t be replaced.

I drilled a hole in the rain gutter on my 1st gen.. I did however run my cb coax cable under the windshield trim when I recently installed that as I was too lazy to drill another hole. Works fine. That's what I would do in your situation, under the windshield trim. And 'IF' it's ever necessary to get your windshield replaced, just let it hang out a little or tape it to the body until the windshield sealant cures then run it back under the trim. Only takes a day or something like that for the sealant to cure I think.

Not sure how the 2nd gen rain gutter is or if you even have one.. but here's some pics if so or at least an idea for ya.

Edit: keep in mind that if your bar comes with a connector already installed on the wire, it'll have to be disassembled or cut off to squeeze the wire through the hole. Most connectors can be removed. There's little pins inside that hold the the wires in. Otherwise you can snip it off and use a weather proof connector like I did.
