2015 Access Cab 6.1" Radio w Bluetooth - Back up camera possible?

I just bought a brand new 2015 Access Cab with Convenience package which has the stock 6.1" AM FM radio with bluetooth.

I want to add a back up cam and watched a couple of YouTube videos. When I crawled under the tailgate the connector under the tailgate on the undercarriage that the cam gets hooked to is already populated. I have not yet pulled the gate liner.

Am I wrong to think this is ready for plug and play or is that cable hooked to the license plate lights or something?

Is my truck ready for a back up cam or do I need some form of upgraded radio, etc.?

Your radio should be fine. It totally depends on the wiring.

This post, and the surrounding thread should give you an idea of what to check for, to see if you are fully wired up for a camera.
