This is my first Tacoma, been noticing when going through a turns at 30 mph I hear a tone from inside the dash. Seems to be some kind of traction control thing. Also I can be driving say 30-40 and go down a slight, very slight hill and the truck downshifts.

Are both of these functions of traction control? Is any of it adjustable? It's mighty irritating.

    Thanks!

Yes, it's a solid pretty quiet tone.

I know exactly the sound you mean . It seems to be related to the traction control but only in the fact that the only time it is audible seems to be when the truck approaches but doesn't exceed the parameters that would engage the actual traction control . I wouldn't worry about it .

As far as downshifting on hills , that's a standard , engine braking function of the truck

I don't want to high jack a thread but this has been weighing on me since I got my first Tacoma 2015 trod in May. I thought the computer was set wrong at the factory. I swear the truck is downshifting. Thank you God the peace of mind
