Shearing Reduction: TPMS or Just Rubber Valve Stems?

    While wheeling, my TPMS valve stem got sheared off. This prevented the tire from being inflated due to the threads and flat seal surface to be compromised.

    I'm thinking, with rubber valve stems, they'll flex more before coming off vs. the rigid TPMS sticking out and shearing with rocks/boulder contact.

    What say youse?
