    Hi all!

I know this may have been beat to death but after all the information I am still not sure what is recommended.

My truck has 70k and I am thinking it may be time for a suspension upgrade.

Currently thinking Bilstein 5100 ride height adjustables and Firestone air bags for the rear. My question is, some recommend a spacer for the drivers front to level it out. I have also read where some are using an AAL in the rear. Do I need the AAL with the bags? Why or why not?

I want to do it right but do not want to part with cash I don't have to. I tow a light boat and occasionally haul wood and heavier trailers with my tractor on it.

Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated!

You don't need the spacer unless you switch to a non OEM coil up front. Just adding 5100s? You'll be fine without it.

AAL and Ride Rites generally do the same thing, helping to reduce sag from load. You don't need both. Ride Rites would be a better option IMO.

Depends on what you are going to do with your truck. I had RideRites on my '06 and loved them. If you're an off roader, RideRites will not be the best choice. For towing they are great, and they will stiffen your ride a bit, especially over speed bumps. You will lose flex if you off road, you actually can traverse an off camber and with the bags you'll lift a rear wheel of the ground. IMO, you won't need to combine any two of the options if all your looking to do is get rid of ghetto sag in the rear. 5 psi in the RideRites is all you need to get level and maybe even a slight rake like stock.

Thank you for your thoughts! I have cab on the rear so it sags a bit. I did have the upgraded leaf springs put in by Toyota from the recall. If I wanted to gain a little lift with the shocks...what have you all been happy with?

5100s are pretty popular and $160 +/- for fronts.
