    Having the ability to write your own apps and load them is clutch. Have you done any Android development? It's honestly not THAT hard and pretty fun.

    I have written a few yes, but nothing for this unit. To be honest I have been thinking about something to write for it but I have not come up with anything that I can't find already created. Right now I only use Spotify, Torque and the nav for the HU.

    How does the wifi work? or does it pull from the phone service? sorry, just curious and I couldnt find the right answer.

    It works just like regular wifi does. You can either connect to to a home/business wireless when you are parked close enough or Hot Spot it to your phone or mobile device if available. You can also plug a 3G mobile stick into it and get internet anywhere.
