I figured you knew what you were talking about when you made the tri axle comment. Nobody but a driver would know to make that comparison.

I had a guy once tell me that because I didn't have a pin to lock my tire carrier in the open position that I was going to "kill someone" because it was a safety hazard. He was dead serious.

Had a pretty good load during a 4 day trip this past week. OME Dakars with the extra leaf. Truck steered fine and no one was killed in the process.

 

That's quite the load out!

 

My canopy loaded with camping gear and my boat and bike supported off the trailer hitch with my versahaul bike carrier and a tot-em pole for my car topper. Sagging a bit, but the stock suspension held up better than I thought it would.

I would venture I had far more weight bringing Wood out of the woods I would have loved dual cases at that time.
