I am still running everything stock. I now have a Leer canopy and when we go camping I am towing a 3200 lbs travel trailer with about 300 lbs hitch weight and about 250 lbs or so of gear and firewood in the bed of the truck. The rear suspension is pretty soft and this combo cause the back to sag pretty bad. Not too terrible during the day but at night my headlights aim up way too high. Also, the steering starts to feel a little light. I don't really want to bother with helper springs or air bags. I was going to do a lift at some point anyways so that's the direction I am leaning in. I will have to wait until Christmas and use part of my bonus so sadly, that means no AR-15 for me this year.

I'd like to keep it under $2000 USD for the parts. I was previously looking at the full OME kit with 885 springs and the Dakar leaf pack. Now I see that they have this newer Boss kit with a full rear leaf pack upgrade for about $600 more than the OME. Which option is going to handle the load better? Which is going to be better on the road? 90% of my driving is on highways and maybe 10% on gravel and forest service roads. No serious offroading. Any other options that I should be considering in this price range? Thank you.

I have the full OME/Dakar setup and with no weight, the truck rides a bit stiff at first. Since you have the canopy, that will help. I don't know about the Boss setup, but I have had 1800+ lbs in my bed, not trailer and she still drives fine, and handles okay.
