Does anyone know for sure if 1999 Tacoma 4x4 airbags are safe? I'm referring to the Takata recall. I'm concerned that these airbags are NOT safe, and that they're just not bothering to check or recall vehicles this old. Does anyone know for sure?

I'm in S. Florida, and apparently 80% of the exploding airbags are happening in Florida (hot & humid), yay... so needless to say, I'm really anxious to find out before an exploding airbag kills my wife or kid. Any tips would be great!

Probably safe. There is a world of difference between 1999 and 2015. As I have never heard of this happening on a older Toyota or any other vehicle I wouldn't worry about it.

As far as I have heard there are No Tacoma's in the recall.
