Hey guys, I'll be up in Crescent City for a couple of days in the beginning of August on my way up to the San Juan Islands. Any must-see/do things up around there? We're planning on driving the Avenue of the Giants, but aside from driving/hiking around looking at trees (which we're perfectly okay with) I honestly don't know of much to do up there. We'll be in my stock 2015 DCSB TRD OR, I don't mind light to moderate trails if there's anything up there but I'd like to stay away from the more difficult stuff.

No driving involved, but the lighthouse is kinda neat. Just 100 yards 'offshore' from the city, its an island at high tide, but you can walk to it at low tide ( don't stay too long or its a long wait for the next low tide :D )

Not much going on in Crescent City that I know of.
Lagoons, nice beaches and Redwood National Park are south of Crescent City.
Jet Boat tours, more beautiful beaches north of Crescent city.

Thanks guys, we're camping about 20 min south of Crescent City, so it's all fair game. A coworker who just spent a week up in that area was telling me about the jet boat tours today, two recommendations means they at least warrant some googling!
