ill be racing stock 2wd buggy then whatever class i can run a stock 4x4 slash in if they offer something like that? i know one class says stock short course truck but i know the velinion isnt a 17.5. I dont really want to go out and buy a new esc/motor if i dont have to lol. Ive got a friend coming along as well who will be racing stock 2wd with me

this will be my first big event race like this so im pretty excited. Ive never really had the time/opportunity to do so :D

you would have to race the slash 4x4 in pro-4. you could run the buggy in either rookie or stock buggy. Stock buggy will be EXTREMELY competitive at this race. Just a heads up lol What buggy are you running?

yea that's what i kinda figured. i wonder if i get a LCG conversion, new shocks and some tires if that would be enough to compete? i havent raced in almost two years.

ill be running my out dated ft b4 so maybe i should run rookie:rofl: my buddy jeff is actually really good and used to be sponsored by AE in highschool but the closest track to use is about 2.5 hours away so the travel expenses made him stop for awhile. now that we both have time and money we're slowly getting back into it again. but hey, you dont have to be the fastest, just the most consistent :D

Yeah the field will most definitely populated by mid motor cars. OCRC is my home track and the competition is amongst the best in the nation on a weekly basis. The top drivers making the a main in Stock buggy will most likely only be separated by a few tenths of a second.

And the rookie class won't be a walk in the park either lol.

Not really sure how competitive a slash can be with all those mods but if you're just trying to have fun with it I wouldn't worry about it too much. But it's almost guaranteed that there will also be extremely talented drivers in that class too.

i consider OCRC my 'home' track (even thought im so far away) since it was actually the first indoor track i ever went to back when they first opened. rob is such a rad dude and help my buddy and i when we were completely clueless at the track.

honestly now that you told me the deal, ill probably just race rookie with the b4. Ive been looking at getting a b5m lite kit in the future but not really before this. As for the slash, i wasnt sure if the 'pro' before the class meant you needed some card to race in the class or something lol. Im not really trying to win, im just trying to kick it and have some fun racing.

also if you go i want to check out your truck. thinkin about slammin mine ;)

Just go out and have fun don't worry too much about where you finish and you'll have a good time.

My truck is under construction right now haha so it won't be making it to the track.

Was bulding my lite today and had a problem with one of the rear hexes. the threads for the set screw stripped out so I have to go buy a new set tomorrow. pretty disappointing. Other than that the build has gone smoothly. gonna finish the shocks tomorrow.

I beat mine regularly with ar60 axles and 2.2 Mudslingers. The gears have held just fine. It did strip out a Traxxas hub I used to widen for clearance.
