Guys, I lifted my truck 2.5 inches with strut extenders in the front and blocks in the back. Question is, in the front the tie rod ends are facing up (nut and cotter pin on the top). Seems that the boot on the tie rod end is being pinched now. Is there any issue with turning the tie rod ends around so the nut and cotter pin are on the bottom? Has anyone done this before?

    Any thoughts on this? Thanks

That is tapered like a ball joint and you do not want to reverse it.

Well that's no good... this was a lift kit. Is damaging the rear shocks common with a block lift? What is axle wrap?

The front strut (shock) is the concern with bending or breaking with the lift spacer. Axle wrap is caused by torque during acceleration and deceleration. This torque twists the axle and springs which in turn causes misalignment in the drive shafts. This misalignment causes excessive wear and in many cases vibration. The lift block exaggerates this axle wrap by multiplying the torque through leverage. As far as rear shocks, they could be damaged by over-extension. By adding the block they are now to short to fully articulate with the spring. There are many posts on the site about lift block issues and one could ramble on forever about the negative effects of a lift block. I suggest doing some research, there is a ton of info out there on the subject.
