The one that is on the truck already works just fine. You don't gain anything with an aftermarket CAI. They do make a nice sound when under sporty acceleration, if that's what you are after.

If you want a CAI, do a CAI. Just like any other personal mod. Don't expect much in HP gains. Read up on them if you're interested. I charted before and after and, coupes with exhaust, I *can* have consistent gains of 1.5-2.5 mpg, but it's really all about the right foot and brain attached to it.

All that said, the Volant with scoop is a neat kit.

    ^^^^^^^^

    Exactly... enough said.

For looks and about $350 USD and about 7 million CAD she'll sound sweet when you put your foot into it. Performance gains and gas mileage, not so much.

Apply decals and doo-dads until desired horsepower is reached.

    Just sayin'

I installed the K&N CAI on my 2015 Taco. It definitely is louder now...

Later installed a Spintech 6000 series muffler...

Only then did I realize ANY improvement in MPGs. And honestly... I think that's because now I drive in the 1,200-2,000 RPM range all the time. Anything higher eats gas and the motor noise overtakes the exhaust noise. My exhaust sounds best and or rumbles the best at low RPM. I'm now getting about 20mpg on every tank of fuel since my muffler install.

Again - that may all be due to how I'm driving now.
