I have a 2002 Tacoma Dbl cab 4x4 auto trans no rear locker. The truck is stock. I added 285/75 16. I think original tires were 265/70 16 but not positive. I am going to re gear the differentials for more power but need to determine what the gear ration is in the stock setup.
    The A/TM code is B03A/A340F
    The C/TR code is 1C8/FK10
    VIN is 5TEHN72N82Z11XXXX
Local dealer was of no help. Any help would be appreciated

Thanks for the response. Do the codes indicates if it is limited slip in the rear?

One final question. Maybe 2. I was asked if I wanted to add an E locker to the rear as it will be apart anyway. I was told that it will be with Toyota parts like a TRD. That the truck is already wired for it. Does this work on the front as well? In the stock setup is it really one wheel drive front and rear and switches sides only when the engaged wheel spins? Any thoughts on this? Thanks

Looks like I have 8" diff with 410 gears 2 pinion open. Thanks for the information.

Also, this truck is a daily driver. I drive on badly rutted dirt roads and fire breaks but not rock climbing. Would I be better off with a limited slip over a locker?

I've driven on dirt roads with no issues in 2wd. I'll have fun sometimes and toss the 4wd but don't have large ruts to contend with.

the TRD OffRoad package has the rear E-locker so you shouldn't need to add one.

I've seen people jump to 4.56 or 4.88 for better power on 33's (285/75, you are correct 265/70 is stock)

LS I'm not sure if you could do it in the stock housing, maybe someone will chime in

    free bump :)
