first off, before it's said ... I suck at the "SEARCH" function ....

What is the largest tire (tallest and widest) that will fit on stock rims?
Trying to leave the suspension stock.
    What's the largest w/ and w/o spacers?

    Pictures would be nice

    Thanks

    265/70/17

Anything more will require a wider rim typically and will rub

For searching, I've found it MUCH more effective to use google, and add site:www.tacomaworld.com to the end. For example:

    Largest tire stock suspension site:www.tacomaworld.com

Then it'll search "Largest tire stock suspension" on only this site. I only search this way and can find what I'm looking for 95% of the time.

stock rims could run a 285 width no problem

stock suspension.... no way your gonna run a 285 without rubbing.... even with a lift you will still rub a 285 if you actually use your truck.

255/85-16. 10.5" wide by 33" tall. Many seem to be able to run them by only removing the front mud flaps and beating back the pinch weld. Some seem to also need to trim the cab mount. I suspect most of the horror stories with 255/85s are because they either added spacers which increases the the tire's turning arc or screwed up the backspacing with aftermarket rims. One of these days I am going to experiment myself.

Wheels that stick outside the fender flairs just look silly, and they throw rocks at your truck if you actually use it as a truck. I would stick with 265/75 and call it good. It is all about function, too many around these parts are about mall crawling and making their 2wd trucks look 4wd.
