    2005 Colorado crew cab
    Hi Tacoma forum,
I have a 2005 Colorado crew cab and since hearing the rave reviews of the new colorados I was for a time considering purchasing one. I was also reading in some reports that colorados were out-selling the Tacomas, but where I live, I've not seen one! And the local dealerships say they're selling like hotcakes. Well, I guess the buyers must be out-of-towners!

Anyway, I do see alot of Tacomas around and am inclined to purchase a 2015 model, double cab. They have a higher resale value and I'm more confident of the Taco's proven reliability than the new generation of the Colorados. Although you get more bells and whistles with the colorado for the same price as the Taco with less, I lean towards the Taco.

Welcome! If you came here to a neutral opinion you wont get it.

You definitely wont have a community like this with a Colorado.

I came here expecting to be sold on a Tacoma:). I don't tow nor haul heavy loads, nor do any off-roading. So why do I think I want a taco? Looks nice and is reliable. I'm looking at a double cab but don't want to spend $30k. I do haul household or yard stuff to the landfill so need a truck.

I like the looks, but the main reason I got mine is the reliability.
