Grease Stain on Sport Seats

I got an alignment last Thursday night and didn't notice until the next day that the tech left a grease stain on my driver's seat. I've already called the shop and they said they had something to get it out but it sounds like nothing more than some carpet cleaner and a brush so I was wondering if there is something better I can do to take care of this myself. I've searched around and haven't found many answers since this is grease and not the typical coffee or soda stain.

 

Might try Folex, follow directions on container and try on small area first-check to make sure color fast.

 

Man, sloppy of the tech to let that happen.

 

Take it back to the shop see if they can remove the stain, if not I would request that they pay for a interior detail.

I agree with the comments above. You've already told them. Let them take care of it. If they can't get the stain out then it's still their problem and they need to make it right.

 

If you put anything on it you kind of take responsibility for it. Leave it for them.

 

Go get a can of brake cleaner. Use the little straw and lightly spray that grease spot. Have cotton cloth ready to wipe up the residual grease. That can be cleaned in less time than the drive to the offending shop to bitch about it.

Had similar issue at dealership they put a bottle of wax on my cloth seats what do you suppose happened? Needless to say the replaced the seat when they couldn't restore to original condition.
