So the time has come that I've pushed my taco to her limit. last time I went out I got a little hard on the pedal over some rocks and noticed a screeching noise in the front that I couldn't figure out. After looking a bit I realized that my engine was sitting at a strange angle, the radiator fan was shredding the shroud on the bottom (causing the shriek) and came to the conclusion of a broken driver-side motor mount. While it's sitting on blocks I've been thinking I may as well get to all the issues it's had with the front end in the past few months; heavy vibrations, loose steering, squeaky (and according to mechanics, failed) UCAs, and sloppy tie-rods.

I originally started my build as an all-use expedition style build but quickly realized my heart is in slow going rock crawling and high speed rally style trails. I've highly considered selling my truck to fund a dedicated crawler or a dedicated rally-mobile but I can't justify either especially considering the truck is paid off already and it is also my daily driver/only vehicle besides my motorcycle which isn't practical other than 4-5 months here in Utah.

So my question is directed to the more off-road centric people. Is the 8-9 grand for a SAS on the '06 taco worth doing for what I'm looking to get out of it? Or should I try to stay in a reasonable budget of 2 grand-ish to replace UCAs, tie-rods, steering rack, and motor mounts?

I've got a pretty good idea of what needs done and how to go about it, but I've got probably around 9-10 grand (young, dumb, full of cash at the time.) in parts invested already. Just don't want this to become a money pit more than I've already created.
