I didn't see any posts related to this but my 2010 Tacoma with 56,xxx miles out of warranty got new headlights.

I went t get an oil change and the service advisor noticed my headlight were burnt right at the DRL area. He said they would be replaced under warranty at no cost. I had no idea of this issue.

I got two new headlights, can't be any happier, my lenses were getting some oxidation already.

Just contacted my local dealer concerning my headlights that show burned spots and cracking. Said they would be replaced free of charge, even though I am out of warranty. He did indicate that availablity of the parts is an issue but found two for me and will put them in next week.

My '11 headlights are getting replaced for the same reason as soon as I can get back to the dealership.

Did you get a letter from Toyota NA stating that this was available? I ask as we did and used it to get ours replaced as well. The letter we received came with a sticker that was supposed to get pasted into the owners manual somewhere but I lost it - READ: My wife threw it away - before I could do that.

Is this still an issue or did they take care of it in the 12+ refresh?

If we originally had the "black chrome" headlights do we get those again? Anyone know?

Yes you do. There are 2 different part number, chrome and black chrome or smoked.

I was at the dealer yesterday inquiring about the 2016 Tacoma, ran into a service manager who noticed my melting DTRL. He ordered them for me, and called today to tell me they were in and scheduled a time to install. I was pricing new headlights last week! Cheers to the dealer this one time for actually saving me money!

Mine came in, but they said they have to install them. Which kind of peeves me because I was probably going to do the BHLM to them. And the dealer said they have to take the front bumper off to install them :/
