@teamhypoxia do you think my taco can make that trail with some help after I'm done building it? It looks awesome and I would love to try it.

My little buddy finally got off the trail and just walked alongside me for a bit

turned out he just wanted to get a closer look at my tires :D

I really wished I had a decent camera with me but all I had was my phone. These were taken out the window of my truck with no zoom to give you an idea of how close he was.
Those who have been there know that these guys couldn't care less about people and trucks, they act like they're practically domesticated.

This one was at the top and I was out of the truck.
Could've poked him in the eye.

    Well done my freind.

I never said your bumper wasn't level, it just looks like the truck leans to the passanger side.

If anything, it has about a half inch lean driver side.

Fun day, SOB may be damn near impossible if muddy, glad we got to check it out, dryish. I'll go through my pics tomorrow.

Very cool guys, super jealous. That does seem like a fuckin long day. So the first section of sob is rocks like a river bed kind right? Is there room to turn around on it, I swore I read on TD there isn't room to turn around? But I did read if it's muddy or wet

Those goats are so cool to watch. I wish I knew where they stay during the winter? I have yet to see one when I'm on the sleds? ???

Yeah, smooth slick rocks in loose dirt. At the top of the hard rock garden you could turn around, there is a bypass mid way through that you could maybe turnaround at, but that is after the part that gave us the most trouble.

There was a traffic jam on 285 too? I-70 was a parking lot from Frisco to Genessee basically.

I don't know about river bed....
There's some big ol' rocks on a fairly steep hill and you have to pick a good line up through them.
There was plenty of room to turn around at the top and come back down. And there are two lines if you take someone who isn't built enough or wanting to bounce through the rocks. The bypass was just a dirt hill that paralleled the rocks.

It was pretty funny, at the bottom we ran into a group of Jeeps that were coming down.
They seemed pretty wide eyed and genuinely concerned for us.
Apparently they couldn't even come down the rocks and had to winch one of their party back up backwards to take the bypass down.
The wife was counting on her fingers how many times they had broken down on that trail or something as I laughed and drove away.
    Silly heeps :D

I think I got a couple pictures of SOB for ya Jace but they'll have to wait until tomorrow. Google is still uploading and I'm exhausted and done.
I'm sure the others got some pics too.

I would like to join you guys when im done with my 4runner build.

yes I know I am from Texas, but the views down here are nothing like up there, and my girl and I don't mind the drive.

We usually plan runs in the Colorado upcoming events thread, this is where the pics and reports go.
Come on up and tag along any time you like. Just make sure your rig is ready for what you intend to do. Traildamage.com is a great resource for info on Colorado and Utah trails.
