Hey everyone. I'm new on this forum. I'm a member at the T4R.org and need some info regarding the VSC computer. I'm doing a manual tranny swap into my 02 4Runner. As you may know 01-02 4Runners never came with a 5speed but 03-04 Tacomas did. I'm swapping an ECU from a 04 Tacoma 5speed which is exactly the same, I checked. The reason why 03-04 Tacos. not 01-02 is because VSC/TRAC came around in 2001 on 4Runners and in 2003 as an option on Tacomas, correct me if I'm wrong. Anyway I've got this thing planned out pretty well, I thought I did before I looked under the dash to see where the clutch pedal is going to go. The VSC computer is right in that exact spot, it's even bolted on to the same hole for the clutch pedal.

I need to know where this VSC computer is located on Tacomas that have it, so I can relocate it to the same spot in my 4Runner. I can't find a good spot for it anywhere. If somebody has a picture of it, that would be awesome help!

    Thanks!!!

Most of us don't have ABS. It was only standard in 03/04 and seems to be a rare option before that.

Have you checked to see if it's attached to the ABS pump under the hood?

I'm working on a 4Runner so I need to know where Toyota put that computer in Tacomas with manual transmissions. Mine is bolted on where the clutch pedal bolts on. Obviously I need to put the clutch pedal there for my swap and I need to relocate the module.
