2008 Mica Silver Tacoma double cab PreRunner V-6 SR-5
Extang bed cover, Big Country side rails (black), Sylvania Silverstar headlamp and foglamp bulbs, +1 Tacoma wheels with Bridgestone tires from a TRD
After 7 years of ownership (since new), 47,000 miles, regular (every 6 months) oil changes, spark plug changes at 3 years and 6 years, I've started to hear pinging when I am lightly accelerating. I've always used top tier gas (Chevron or Shell), but have lived in several different areas of the country from Texas to South Carolina.

Any thoughts on what could be causing the pinging/knocking, and how to fix it?

    thanks much!

    Bill
