    Hey folks.
I bought my 2013 Tacoma just about one year ago today. I live in Massachusetts so the frame rust is a concern for me after reading many owners issues. My truck was originally from Vermont which is a cold weather state that uses a lot of salt to keep their roads clean. So this spring I spent some time rinsing the underneath the truck. The next weekend when I looked at it I noticed there still was some sand and crap around some of the areas where debris can collect (shock mounts and any flat or recessed areas). Seeing that rinsing it didn't seem to get the crap out, I used my air compressor with a custom made air nozzle I made that is really long and thin to blow the stuff out. Even though it looked clean I put the nozzle up in the area where the front cab mount is on the passenger side. The sand that came out of there was unbelievable. For about a minute a cloud of sand kept pouring out of the mount. The ground underneath afterwards was covered. None of the other cab mounts were like this. Very little if anything came out. I'm still trying to figure out why only the one was loaded and figure the front tire must throw enough stuff up there where it collects. I shot a bunch of oil up in there afterwards when I was convinced that I got most of the crap out. I don't know if that is one of the areas that is prone to rot but for those of you concerned about your frames, that might be a place to look as a PM. Anyone else find this?
