Kind of narrowed it down to an OR that is only a few years old with under 50,000 miles. I am trying to stay under 28,000. The more I look the more I start finding options that I think I want. I know I want the OR, Towing, and Etune plus. The problem I have is that a 2015 SR5 with alloys tow and etune are only a 1,000-1500 more. The biggest confustion is the radio on these things. I need the Sat radio for sure dont want to do the seperate reciever on the dash. I also have gotten used to having a backup camera on a big screen not the mirror. What year did they change that? I am looking at a 13 OR with nav and JB but the camera uses the mirror. Is there any way to change that?

Have you talked to any dealerships about prices on new new off roads? I just bought a 15 OR with everything on your want list for 29,600 a few weeks ago. I realize I got a sweet deal, but after reading up on the how much did you pay for your tacoma thread it seems like 30 is not an unreasonable price for these brand new. Something to think about. I started looking for used trucks, and decided I'd rather pay the extra 2-3 grand for a brand new truck, instead of one with 50k on it already.

I am in Minnesota and I dont even see SR5's for that. Most of the dealers here are around 32-33 for the same truck you have. Maybe I am not looking hard enough, but when they want 30,000 for a 2 year old OR with 18,000 miles I cant see them selling new below that. Also there is a dealer here that includes a lifetime warranty with all the new and used (under 60,000 miles) cars. I am thinking this would be nice to have.

Cool, I realize prices are different all around, just thought I'd mention it. I came back because I realized how acclimated to this place I've become...I posted a response to your thread and didn't even answer a single question you posed, just totally changed the subject. Typical TW.

That ok. It just reminded me to take another look at new. I can get a 2015 SR5 for 30,899. Or a 2014 OR 2900 miles for 29904. Anyone from MN have any suggestions which dealer is the best to work with?

I was in the same boat as you just over a month ago. Dead set on finding something used around 28k, Off Road, 2012-2014. Everything that was coming up at the time was over 300 miles away, or in an accident, or had way too many miles. One of the dealers I was speaking with happened to get a 2015 SR5 fresh off the truck one day. Picked it up a few days later. Really, what you're buying for $1k-$3k over used is peace of mind.

Yeah the SR5 looks tempting. I wonder what i could get on CL for the take off tires? I would probably replace them with 265/75/16 Duratracts for about $850.

Ask your tire shop if they will take them in on trade. Happens all the time around here. We have alot of farmers that want a specific tire with a loaf rating that they have had good luck with.
