Parking light trim

Is the trim around your parking lights replaceable, or is it part of the light fixture itself? Mine are chrome to match my chrome grill which is going to be painted to match my truck soon. That being said, can I buy a piece to replace the chrome one with, or is that something I will have to color match too?

My truck is an 03 btw.

They're part of the housing itself. You'd have to color match that too, probably tape off around it.

Don't be discouraged. It's an easy job

 

Duplicolor perfect match rattle can them. Just prep the chrome properly and they will look fine.

 

That's actually what i'm using. Going to paint the front chrome grill piece, front chrome bumper, rear bumper all color matching along with the fender flares. gonna be quite the project.

 

the lenses do not come off.

the housing will melt.

the lens does not like to come off.

it will crack.

I can assure you, you will have a bad time if you attempt to take it off.

 

i'm confused at what your getting at

 

he means don't try to separate the outer lens from the light fixture like people do to customize headlight housings.
