i recently bought my tacoma and the factory stereo is garbage. so i picked up a double din pioneer dvd player receiver and the metra harness and install kit. i pre wired my plug and plugged everything in so i could confirm it works. everything went smooth radio worked great. so i unplugged it and started to run my remote wire and rcas for the sub. after i ran them i went to install the head unit for the last time, upon plugging it in it had zero power it would not turn on.

so i yanked the wiring back out and redid it completely just to make sure everything has a good connection. it still wont turn on. i checked the fuse in the back of the unit as well as the fuses in my fuse panel and everything seems to be working great.

    any help would be awesome

I have a 270bt with a sub and I didn't need rcas. I installed the radio myself and although I did not install the speaker myself, I was there the whole time the guy did it. I think it came with rcas but idk. I did not see him get into my radio to put in the speaker so you might be able to skip that step in all. I'm not sure tho
