I am looking to do a little audio upgrade, but not spend toooo much. Just wanted to see if this setup I have below is decent, if they all work together, if I need anything else, or any additional recommendations.

Deck - 217 - JVC Double din (Want something under 300 with bluetooth and a screen for back up camera)
    http://www.amazon.com/dp/B00PVBZ8A0...=UTF8&colid=F1UZI22V4POL&coliid=IDQXWYR5TT6PG

Speakers- 53 - RF 3 way (Looking to spend around 50 or less, was just thinking of doing front 2? Will 6x8 fit and hook up to above deck without any adapters or harnesses?)
    http://www.amazon.com/dp/B001P88U12...olid=F1UZI22V4POL&coliid=I39G9TA5BX7155&psc=1

Insulation- ? - Looking at fatmat, dynamat etc not sure which

Back up camera- 25 - (Always wanted one, anyone have any experience with this and if it connects to deck?
    http://www.amazon.com/dp/B0092YMZJY...olid=F1UZI22V4POL&coliid=I2S02SAAUOOVRV&psc=1

    Thank for any input!

I can't contribute to reviewing the products themselves, but those speakers aren't ideal for that deck. They consume more power than the deck can provide, and should be used with an amplifier. They are 65watt RMS, and the deck can probably push 45-50 watts max.
Rockford has a lower level line called prime, which is more suited to running off the deck.

Cool, thats exactly the type of input i am looking for. Im an audio noob, so i dont really know what matches what. The deck says 22 rms and 50 peak. For the speakers, should i find a pair that are as close to 22 rms as possible as long as it doesnt exceed the decks peak number? What should i really be looking for and be careful not to exceed? The rf primes looks pretty good and are cheaper too, so thats a plus!

its been forever since I kept up with audio but I thought speakers were only rated for max watts they can handle and not the required watts to run them?

as I understood it to work, those speakers would be fine but you just couldn't crank it as high as a higher wattage deck could push them. so lets say a 25 watt deck with 100 watt speakers would work fine but it only goes to about 1/4 of the volume the speakers could handle even though that's still enough to not hear yourself talking.

IE - you are fine as long as the speakers are rated to handle more then the watts put out by the deck because its better to have a speaker that can handle more then the deck puts out so you don't max out or even over power and blow them

youl want a 2 or 4 channel amp to run higher wattage speakers. Youl find that the speakers will barely get loud at all before the deck maxes its power and starts distorting.

A 5x7 is whats in there now. A 6x8 may work without an adapter plate, it'll depend on the positioning of the speaker's mounting holes.

    This VVV
OP, if it was me, I'd just swap in the new deck first and use your existing speakers to start. Unless one of them is blown, the new deck will improve things quite a bit. You can then save your pennies for a decent speakers and an amp that will push them.

I used Raamaudio sound deadening material and was happy with it and the service I got from the owner (Rick) http://www.raamaudio.com/ It can definitely help with quieting the cabin noise and keeping metal from vibrating when you are bumping tunes although until you are running a subwoofer you probably won't be rattling metal too much.

I have that exact TaoTronics license plate frame backup camera. I have used it with two different radios. It works well and I have never had problems with water getting into it (some of the cheaper cameras get bad reviews after people go through car washes). That JVC looks to have a standard composite RCA video input so it should work fine with the camera.

New door speakers and an amplifier are probably the two things that make the most difference. You could always add an amplifier later if budget allows. I bought some Infinity 6x8 speakers for my doors that were labeled as "for 5x7" and 6x8" openings". I trimmed the stock mount a little bit to accommodate the larger magnet, but they went in without too much effort.

If you use 6x8's in the front you'll have to trim the speaker mount but it's pretty minor. Also an amp will not just make your speakers louder, it will make them sound cleaner and more full. That being said you will still love the sound of new speakers without the amp
Unless you get a small subwoofer or a 4 channel amp, it'll be hard to get some proper bass out of your door speakers in my experience. I had the same problem when I bought some alpine door speakers of crutchfield. The tech support told me that aftermarket door speakers often need a lot more power pushed to them to get the good sound that people expect. Running them off a headunit that only pushes 20w x 4 usually isn't enough. That's why your stock speakers probably had more bass than your new ones (at least mine did at first).

You may get more bass out of different/better door speakers, but the door access holes are large so at bass frequencies the holes will allow a lot of the front and rear sound waves to cancel. I sealed up my doors (not going for air tight seal, but making it hard for the front and rear speaker sound waves to combine). The mid bass came up quite a bit. You aren't going to get subwoofer bass from a 6x8, but the mid bass got much louder.

I used some metal flashing (thin roll of metal) to cover the holes and then added some sound deadening material over the entire inside of the door. These are my rear doors (doublecab), but the front speakers were very similar).

Thanks for everyone's input. So far I've ended up getting that JVC deck and this back up camera instead (better FOV and doesn't ship from China, I don't want to wait haha)

I think I'll have to hold off on the speakers for now and stick with the stockers, I just had to buy a 260 crankcase cover for my motorcycle :/

I would recommend a butyl sound deadener, stay away asphalt based. Butyl is more sticky. Holds better on overhead and vertical surfaces.
