It would be easier to answer what it actually worked on~ & believe me, i WANTED to believe in this stuff! I bought so much of it, the original, JB quick, the putty in the tube, i tried it all & followed directions very precisely!
But off the top of my head: Hard (but with roughed up surface to adhere) plastics, metal, under the hood (where headlight casing meets metal body of vehicle) among other surrounding locations, the base of the car's sun visor that secures it in place, housing of the side mirror, Surburban body & its cheap, brittle grill, toilet seat, pvc pipe... etc etc etc.. ALWAYS cracks...

Do tell what you have had success on, that is the real question... Id love to know, but make sure its stood the test of time and at least some impact before it gets credit... Mind you, this is the product that lists a SHOVEL as one of the things its good for, so impact shouldn't be asking too much.

I've used it on low load joints. It's currently holding all my temp adjustment knobs on. Biggest stress I put it through is the spare tire tool. It comes in 4 pieces. Mine is now 2 pieces as I joined them so that the assembly only comes apart in the middle. Lost track of how many times I've removed and installed that spare. I've also used it to reattach the rear sight on a revolver. I see it as something between a weld and super glue.

I treat JB much like superglue. The only success I've had with superglue is gluing my fingers together.

Drop bracket lift and booger welds
I used quick steal and jb weld to fix two holes in an oil pan trail side for another member to get home an hour away. Was pretty sweet when it worked.

I have been taking a little survey & have concluded that my problem with JB is that I've always applied it too thin. Everyone that I've asked, that have had success with it, all report it in big globs/layers.. So, there you go, that has to be the key!

JB Weld is great. Have used it to repair old cast steam radiators, great for patching and have used it to make backpacking stoves.

There is always some in my workshop area.

Any long term success with thin applications of it?

    Hell no!
Gobs and gobs are the secret to JB Weld.
Just kidding. I don't usually have success with one thin application. It usually does take more than one. The radiator has many.
I would kick it on after every pass to see where the new leak was then patch it and repeat.

I had a small hole in the transfer case of my ol duramax. Some steel wool, and brake cleaner. My patch lasted a year before I replaced the case.
without spending the time getting the area clean, patch would only hold for a week or two.

What I carry in my truck.
Pistol, ammo, knife, my hunting backpack with everything to live for 3 days.
Rope (s), straps, chainsaw, shovel, little fishing gear, $20, clean socks & shirt.
Small spot light, 12 v light, small led flashlight.
Some basic hand tools, 12 v air compressor. Small jack.

Much more than I can remember. Items change base off of seasons.

i got my 4 ton for about 80$ from a pawn shop...i did notice that useing it with a snatch strap means that the winch haveing 6 feet of pull stroke(doubled) and the strap stretching mean the truck only moves about 2 feet so youll want a chain. either that or your arms may fall off.
