I just bought a Bajarack and I think it looks mighty fine. Although, I'm worried that someone with questionable ethics will think it looks mighty fine as well. In the interest of keeping what I paid waaaaaay too much money for mine, I was trying to find something to look it to my roof rails. Maybe not something infallible but, at the very least, something that a person would need more than 5 minutes and a ratchet to remove. I was thinking of something along the lines of a lock that tightens to my rails that I can run a cable lock through and loop around one of the cross beams of the rack. So far I have come up empty. Any suggestions, oh wise (and paranoid) ones of TacomaWorld?

I think you're being overly paranoid. Roof rack is harder to fence. Stealing your stereo makes far more sense. Or your whole truck, for that matter. I wouldn't worry about it.

Agreed with the post above, but if you want cheap easy peace of mind you could grab a gun lock. The cable part would be long enough to wrap around a crossbar and the whole thing is coated to keep it from scratching a firearm

Look up speciatly screw place that comes with key and change out the bolts to those. Even going "security" screws will make it harder to be stolen.

First one that poped up on google.

That I may be. I think it comes from several years spent living in San Bernardino. Anything that could go missing eventually went missing - along with the thing that thing was nailed to.

I used security screws and red locktite, but not until AFTER someone stole my Pelican case. Bastards.

Lol I hear you there! Worked at the corner of 4th and "D" Street for a few years. I remember being excited when they were talking about making that whole area a lake. That would have been a tremendous improvement. I hope you got out!

Ahhhhh... Corona... I wonder why that sounds familiar? :) :)

I'll have to keep an eye out for your Taco when driving around. <smile>

(and no I won't swipe your roof rack.)

Update: Not stolen yet. I'm may have to become more daring in the places I leave it overnight.
