    Hi All,

My wife is pregnant, due in November, so we decided we wanted an SUV for the added room. I loved my Taco and was sad to see it go, but I am really excited about the new 4Runner. I wanted to post here to thank everyone who helped me with the Taco and look forward to your help and input on the new 4Runner.

    Old Taco:

Absolutely! Already bought my first mod, an ARB on-board compressor. Had one on the Taco and used it a lot. Next up lift and tires. Looking at the 3" LIFT W/ BILSTEIN 5100 FRONT COILOVERS from ToyTec for the lift and the BFG KM2's for tires.

Congrats, nice looking rig, love the red...! I did the exact same thing, wife is also due in November. Traded my 2012 taco for a Super White Sr5 4x4, huge difference, miss the taco, but I figure after a few years I'll give the wife the 4runner and get the redesigned taco:cool:

Thanks everyone. It's been 2 weeks and I can't love the 4Runner more. Totally happy with the change, even though I loved the Taco as well.

Does it seem as peppy as the Tacoma?

No. Even though the 4Runner has more power, it doesn't offset the extra weight. In a drag race, I'm sure the Taco would spank the 4Runner.

I was looking to trade my Prerunner in and getting a trail edition but I want to lift it but with the already left power per pound not sure if I want to get one. Also does the crawl control and the terrain select work ok if it is lifted?

I haven't lifted mine yet, but know 2 guys who have and haven't had any issues. I'll be honest, I like the 4Runner more than the Taco. Not just because it's newer, but because it's just nicer all around.

I know they have more back seat space than a double cab Tacoma

Yeah, and they recline too, so they are more comfortable.
