Hi everyone! Little different new post for you here. Planning on being a future Taco owner and soon. I work at a large auto group with access to other cars in my dealership's range of stores as well as what comes in to my store. BUT, I'm not entirely sure which way to go....

TRD Sport or TRD Off Road?

Before this discussion gets heated real quick, this is me:

Trade in would be a 2011 Subaru WRX. I love rally and high speed off road stuff. I also like going fast on the road too. When away from work wearing suits and ties, I have a life that caters towards outdoors stuff and hunting and just plain needing a bed, especially for chores around the house. I have no need for low range, and don't rock crawl. Probably would tow at most a little trailer or put a bike rack on the back. Maybe some kind of kayak rig attachment.

But I do have buddies with big spaces in the woods/fields that I can be a hooligan in. And then drive home at a nice clip (that does imply a certain speed of course). May mod it but won't go crazy if I did since I seem to burn through cars. Maybe keep this one 1-4 years or so.

Would get a 2011 or newer unless others have a different opinion.

Any thoughts? Would love to post a pic of the new ride once I get it!

Judging by your stated uses, either would be fine. If you like color matched trim and a hood scoop, get the sport. If you think you may want to take your off-road adventures a little further, get the OR for the rear locker. You said you don't need low range. Any 4wd regardless of package will have low range. On the other hand, no tacoma is going to satisfy your "go fast" needs as these are not fast trucks. Welcome. Good luck.
