    Sounds like you were there!
Don't want a second gen. I like the simplicity of mine. Oooh and ya know, basic stuff. I just had to replace a Ujoint, now I have a leaky water pump, leaky radiator hose, warped brake rotors. It never ends

Ujoint? -2 hour job max. $25 fix
Radiator hose? -1 ..maybe 2 hour job.. Haven't priced but know its not gonna be expensive.
Warped rotors? - maintenance item. Can't avoid em. Change em and youll be good for 5+ more years.

Water pump is about the only 'major' fix or repair on the truck and you're saying its falling apart? Hardly lol. Sounds like about 2 weekends of work and the truck will be good as new.

And I need the timing belt done. Feel free to come give up two of your weekends to do it, but I don't have the time, and very little money. I've been riding my bike most places within reason and driving another vehicle we have in the family.

So spend the money to get the timing belt and water pump replaced. The rest is DIY.
