Yeah it's pretty badass he said he is in SA I just don't know where. Also in other my rear bearing decided to start leaking oil.

Did this repair on my 98 4runner I used to have. I would imagine the repair is pretty similar. Worst part was getting the bearing retainers off the axle. They are pressed on and without the proper fixture they were pretty difficult to get off. Resorted to a method I am not proud of but it got the job done lol.

 

I know this might be a long shot but anyone out there with a 2012 or similar body style interested in swapping their Silver Streak Mica TRD Sport hood with my OR hood? I likey the scoop. Looking for one in "like new condition" since that's what I'd be giving you. PM me if you're out there!

 

Yeah I heard the press is the hardest part of the replacement. I'm thinking of just taking it to one of my buddies at the toyota dealership. The only problem is that the bearings there are expensive as hell!

Yeah trust me its worth it to get the OEM bearing and seal. This is not a job you want to experience more than you need to lol

Taking the taco to the shop tomorrow

 

Anyone have any trouble with wearing out U-Joints? I'm on what is now my third set... This is my second, second gen 2010 TRD Off-Road 4x4 with 97,5XX on the clock a CBI front end replacement w/ winch and light bar, 265 toyo M/T's, IFS skid and rock sliders. Can't figure out why i would be blowing through U-Joints.. All repairs on them have been under warranty but i'm just baffled by this.

 

What's up SA finally back after a 20 day vacation to Dominican Republic. Got to drive up some pretty crazy mountains and trails in an awesome vehicle lets see who can guess what it is?

 

Judging by the floor mat i'm going to say Prado. Spent some quality time in those in Peru and all over Southeast Asia. Pretty capable little SUV.

The tundra is my Dad's, he said he "wants to stay stock". I keep telling him though to get a lift and some Fuel rims but it ain't happening!
