Thanks for sticking this! It would have been great help to me when I bought might a few years ago.

I had some minor issues with install, but I'm 95% sure it's because I used at least one wrong frame hole for the bolts. I think that's also why the rear slightly rubs the stock fender flares.

I have lifted the truck on these with a hi-lift a couple of times. They flex when you do it, but not enough to contact the body.

I used rustoleum primer and flat black. Rattle-can makes touch-ups easy.

Looking for slider recommendations for the following criteria, polling the experts...

    --Double cab
    --Bolt-On
    --Powdercoated (Black)
    --Available immediately
--Capable of Hi-Lift'ing (I've seen claims you can use the bolt-on Demello's as a jack point)
    --Budget minded
--Plan to apply grip-tape to use as a semi-step for my wife

I'm indifferent on the kick-out, and I'm going bolt-on because the truck is brand new and will see light wheeling at best.

Not sure why people powdercoat sliders. Rattle can is cheaper. I have to touch mine up every quarter.

Just ordered the Shrockworks sliders, bare metal so I can rattle-can them in the garage and to save some $$$ when it's re-spray time.

Me and my buddy are going to try weld up some sliders and weld them on ourselves. Can anyone help with dimensions or tips? What degree of an angle is best, how wide? It's a 2011 DCSB. I want to be able to crawl some pretty decent stuff and just slide on by. What type of metal tubing? Any help is appreciated I think it would be very cool to whip up and weld up my own

Here are the pelfreybilt sliders with the fill plates.

Love them so far. Haven't been lucky enough to see how strong they are yet ;)

Is there enough room on the pelfriybilts to consider them a useable step too? I want something that can be a step and a slider

If you have to ask .... you probably shouldn't try to make your own sliders. Just sayin'

Anybody have experience with only bolting on the all pro sliders, without doing the frame drilling part? I'm looking at using a set as more or less glorified steps at this point until I get comfortable drilling/welding to the frame.

Does anyone know of a company or someone who can make weld on plates (gusseted or not) for a pair of sliders. I had to cut them off of my previous truck when I traded in and I am prepping them to go onto the new truck.
