2016 Tacoma coming to Tuscaloosa Toyota with a fall 2015 release date

    July 28, 2015 9:36 AM EDT

TUSCALOOSA, Ala., July 28, 2015 /PRNewswire-iReach/ -- Ever since its debut in 1995, the Toyota Tacoma has built up a loyal legion of owners, who have enjoyed the superb performance and off-road capabilities of this rugged pickup truck. After seeing some of its competitors in the mid-size pickup segment receive refreshed designs, the Tacoma has dramatically upped its game for 2016. Starting in the fall of this year, Tuscaloosa Toyota will offer 2016 Tacoma, and owners can take advantage of the dealership's no-cost lifetime warranty, as well as the Tacoma's excellent features.

The greatest strength of the Tacoma has long been its off-road prowess, and that's certainly the case with the 2016 Toyota Tacoma. It can handle challenging terrain conditions as well as any truck in its class and it's loaded with many excellent off-road features. The Tacoma TRD models off an innovative multi-terrain system that allows the drive to adjust a rotary dial that optimizes systems for surfaces including mud, sand and rocks. Additionally, a "crawl mode" on the 2016 Tacoma enables drivers to adjust the throttle and brakes during low-speed maneuvers, which is very useful when traversing off the beaten path.

As is the case with all new vehicles at Tuscaloosa Toyota, the 2016 Tacoma comes with a no-cost lifetime warranty. This is a non-factory warranty that extends Toyota's standard powertrain warranty. Toyota vehicles carry a reputation of producing cars with exceptional reliability and durability, and with a lifetime warranty that goes above and beyond Toyota's standard powertrain warranty, 2016 Tacoma owners can roll off the lot at Tuscaloosa Toyota with even greater peace of mind.

Car shoppers interested in more information about the 2016 Tacoma or Tuscaloosa Toyota's lifetime warranty, or to see any of the vehicles in the dealership's inventory, can visit the Tuscaloosa Toyota website at www.tuscaloosatoyota.com. Consumers can also reach the dealership by telephone by calling 205-553-3325

Too poor to list anything interesting.
The dealership I bought mine from has a lifetime powertrain warranty.

Of course, this is only good for as long as they're in business.

lol non factory warranty that mirrors the powertrain warranty after the Toyota warranty runs out. what a waste of paper/coding.

    Here's a FAQ on the warranty: http://www.tuscaloosatoyota.com/warranty-faq-at-tuscaloosa-toyota-in-tuscaloosa-al

    • Interestingly, it doesn't tie you to use them for all maintenance.
    • The warranty is recognized by dealers nationwide.
    • There is a $100 deductible to keep you from bothering them with frivolous items.
    • The dealer includes the warranty on any new vehicle you buy from them. So it shouldn't be construed as any testament to the 2016 Taco's expected durability.

So, uhh...what's the point in this story if all of their vehicles come with the lifetime warranty?

For people like me, who were unaware that dealers did this, it becomes a bargaining chip when negotiating price and options with my dealership.

It's not a big deal as most people they give the warranty to will probably sell it before the factory warranty expires.

Seriously this is a thread? Most dealers now a days offer lifetime powertrain warranties even Chrysler products. This isn't factory OP and not new. My 2011 had a "lifetime warranty" as well as my current 15, not unique to the 16 or any other Tuscalosga whatever Toyota vehicle.

because 3rd party warranty imo are mostly not even worth the paper they are written on. and you know that dealer is not gonna give a free lifetime warranty on something that will cost them money. they are getting paid for that one way or another.

like old schick razor blades, blades are free, the holder costs money.

Wish I would've gotten that warranty. I have the timing chain cover oil leak.

You have to have all maintenance intervals done by a certified shop. That includes every oil change.

They are worth almost nothing. I have never heard of anyone making a claim to these companies and getting any work paid for

don't forget this little tidbit in red (remember this is a 3rd party warranty that the service center you are taking it to has to be part of. if they are not a participating service center, that warranty is worthless) :

    Limited Lifetime Warranty
    • Fully Insured for all brand new Toyotas with 5,000 miles or less.
    • Nationwide Coverage, honored at any participating service center in the Continental United States, Hawaii and Canada.
    • No Additional Charge, this value is complimentary!

remember this is not the same as the Toyota Platinum Warranty that every Toyota dealer HAS to accept.

Im sure a gun was pointed at your head forcing you to comment on this "thread", if there wasn't a gun I would of just ignored it if it really ruined your day that much
