Given how he went about coming off the ACL, I wouldn't hold my breath

He's looking pretty chiseled, but hasn't taken the hits for quite a while. The Niner's are a question mark this coming season. Sometimes big shakeups can be a good thing. I'm ready to find out. :fingerscrossed:

Wilson is seriously overrated in my humble opine. The Hawks got to the Big Show twice by defense. Had they won the last Superbowl, they may not be wrangling so much over salary, but Carroll's live by the gadget play / die by the gadget play blew up on him like a cheap gag cigar.

You might have a point, except it wasn't Carroll that called that play. It was Bevell.

Point your vitriol at the proper target.

I agree that Wilson is over-rated, but not by how much. I wouldn't take him over Luck or Rodgers, but as for as 3rd year QBs his smarts and athleticism are off the charts. He makes excellent decisions with the ball and doesn't turn it over much.

Carroll knew the play was going, he was good with it, and he stated it.

"According to Carroll, the decision was ultimately his in the end and he made it based on the Patriots defensive formation.
“I made the decision,” Carroll said. “I said, ‘Throw the ball,’ and we went with the play that we thought would give us a chance to get in the end zone.”
Carroll defended the call based on what he saw from the Patriots defense which was designed to stack the box and stop Lynch.

Right. Bevell made the call. Carroll approved it.

Again, it was the OC's idea. Pete is defending his underling.

As a person, he seems like pretty decent dude. I just think he's a tad overrated on the field. But, then again my QB is Kaepernick! Both have some similar problems.

It's hard for me to hate on Wilson (he's a Badger after all). I think he has a lot of potential and talent, but both Seattle and him are responsible if he doesn't reach his full potential. Seattle is getting cheap with their players. They will lose both Wilson and Beast Mode if they don't get their act together and start valuing their top players.
Seattle was a shit team not too long ago. They did not get out of that slum until Wilson. They better appreciate that and give the guy some money. On the other hand, the guy better frigging perform. His QB rating in the NFC Championship game before the last quarter was a 3. Hawks didn't score a first down until halfway through the second quarter. They ain't that hot of a team, so they need to back off their arrogance a bit and pay to keep those three players.

They can't continue to get to the Superbowl based on luck rather than skill.

Wilson is the best shot they have.

NOT that I care about them being a better team. The spouse is a Seahawks fan so I don't want them to go back to their royaly sucky ways. They can be great, they just need to epically lose to GB when we play them and I'm happy.

The problem is, Wilson's success is because he's on that team, with those other players, and those coaches. If he were go elsewhere chasing dollars, there's a really good chance he'd never again be anywhere near as successful or productive....and I'm 99.9999999% certain he and his agent are well aware of this.

Unless he went someplace without a QB but a Satan defense....say, Buffalo? Or even a good defense...Houston or the J E S T, he might turn them into contenders. But the vast majority of teams that would offer that fat cash to him are shit teams. And that's part of the negotiating dynamic right now

    What about Da Bears?
I hear they are in the market.

One of the best defensive teams in the league.

    Just not right now
