Good advice...it's going to be awhile anyway. I've got sliders, tube bumper, 12volt fridge and a daily driver ahead of the shower.

Not even gonna try and compare wiping down to showering. It isn't the same

When compared to not showering and not wiping...yeah, it holds value. The importance of wipes can not be understated.

Put the final touches on my solar shower. I bent up some 3/4 EMT pipe for a shower curtain rod. I then screwed some 1" EMT to the bottom of my water rack for the 3/4" to slide into. It fits snugly and the "U" bent peice fits nicely under my sleeping platform when not in use.

    image.jpg
    image.jpg
Simply slide the U bent pipe in, zip tie on a tarp and we're good to go!

    image.jpg
I also added a ball valve to the shower hose. This will help hold back the pressure of a pressurized water can then the dinky RV shower head.

    This is an awesome idea!

Have you thought of integrating it into the existing load bars you have? Also It would be neat if you could just leave it up there and extend it when needed.

That's a great idea. I need to rip one of the caps off my Yakima bars and measure ID of pipe.

I was originally going to clamp the 1" EMT directly to the Yakima crossbars, but the Yakima mighty mounts I used to mount the water rack to the crossbars prevented me from doing that, so I had to mount it to the rack.

I never thought of taking the cap off the Yakima bars and sliding the pipe into them. I might have to look into that as well.

    FrontRunner EAF Grill Review: Good

Won this bitch in the Moab raffle, heavy cardboard box, didn't really know what to expect. Opened er up an a few minutes later, grill:

Left it on driving around town and it didn't move a bit. Finally got to get a field test in, here and it worked out splendid, 200 miles of dirt and never once moved. It cooks a pretty good steak too.

It did get all dirty though, - 5 expo points.

+5 Expo points IMO. At least it's getting used (more than I can say for those that have it "for display purposes only")

Spent week living out of my Taco with wife and 2 kids, and my catahoula in Big Bend. Put 1500 miles in. 600 all in the back roads only coming across this one other vehicle. Happen to show up at the entrance to Black Gap Road while we were posing by the 4x4 only sign. Stock taco with a softtopper. Next add will be front runner roof rack. My other truck is a crew cab long wheel base diese. Its huge, with a ton of space. Going from that to the taco took a lots of planing. That is when I knew roof rack would be next. Taco is a dream to drive compared to my 9k lbs diesel beast. Guess you already know this.

Found an old mercury mine. An old ride left behind, and got drunk on Big Bend Beer in Big Bend.

LOL, gives it a nice post-apocolyptic look and reminds me of...of...Renault wheels from the early 80s?

    The dreaded double failure.

I have a Viair 90P compressor. It's inexpensive and kinda slow (about 4 minutes per tire, from 15psi to 36psi) but works for me. I've been thinking about getting a second one. I can then air up the tires twice as fast, and if one dies I have a backup.

If I had lots of $$$ I'd buy the dual ARB compressor and keep the Viar 90P as a backup.
