    Gents,

I have a friend that is looking at a 2013 Dbl Cab with about 45k on it. Price tag is at about 26k. It is not a Sport or Off-Road. Just SR5. Does anyone have any advice or opinions on it? It's super clean, has a 3" lift, rims, nice tires, long bed and cat back. Let me know what you think. Thanks for the help.

    That's $2400 less than I paid for my 2011 4x4 new.

I told him the same thing. He has $25,500 cash, actual cash. I told him through most or all of that down on a new one. But, he is still shopping around right now. I only ask because I don't know really what just a SR5 would go for.

Understood, but in addition to my reply above, Tacos do hold their value. I am just not sure about a plain SR5 and what that is worth.

With 25 down it would be foolish to not buy new.

You should be able to get a brand new SR5 double cab for high $20Ks. Lifts can be done wrong and cause all sorts of issues, which cost money to correct, especially at 3" or with spacers. What kind of lift is it? Personally I would always buy stock and mod it yourself as who knows if the PO did things correctly.

I bought mine at the beginning of the year when they had 2 2011's left. Toyota had marked my truck down on their website. I know the 2012's increased in price slightly but the dipshit I was dealing with didn't want to play right from the get go so I don't know what he was trying to show me with the 2012 paperwork. I told him he was told he had one chance to sell me a truck so I got up and walked. Bought one from another dealer the next morning on the phone on my way out of town.
