I did. In my opinion, the Avecs do the same job for a couple hundred dollars less. So far, they're holding up very well. Keep in mind, I'm also not desert racing or really pushing the lights to their limits (water submersion, impact, etc). For me, it was worth it to make the switch and save the money and, so far, I haven't regretted it one bit.

I've run rigid and chinese knock offs, rigids are just as susceptible to failure as chinese ones are. I've had both rigid and china bars fail on me. I would rather spend less money on the chinese lights and have just about the same performance. When I get any light, the first thing I do is take it apart and seal it really good. After I let it sit for a day I submerge it in water to see if there is any leakage while the light is turned on (I wouldn't recommend doing that) and if there is I just crack it back open and seal it again.

I didn't realize Avec lights were on TW, I ordered a set of pods from Amazon to test on the bulldozer for auxiliary lights, they just arrived today and seem very well built, I was just trying to find out if I should take these apart and re-seal them (like most "budget" LED's need done) but I think I'll just check the tightness of the bolts as @VolcomTacoma2011 suggested.

Depending on how well they work on the dozer I may get a set for the tractor and another for my rear bumper.

I run rigird duallys and they work great! The AVEC lights are great for the price but one of my pods went out and I don't want to deal with AVEC since Mike is not working there anymore... So yeah.

If you Reeeaaallly wanted to spend the time, you can always throw a bead of silicone around the seal just to play it safe and then wipe up the excess. I'm not planning on doing that until I see moisture inside, then ill pull everything apart and fully reseal it. But yea, always check you bolts for tightness, on everything

Definitely ordering a couple soon. Do you have the curved 50" available? I couldn't find it on the site.

What the shit is up with the ridiculous prices on avec bars on Amazon!? Hundreds less in some cases, labeled as being through avec as well!? Real weird. I looked through them for quite a while searching under different words in the title and it seemed several of them were priced at $69 for different styles and sizes too, again weird!!
If they're legit it makes the TW pricing a real joke!

They are all made in China so it doesn't matter what brand you buy.

Yeah this thread is dead. I actually chucked my AVEC pods since one went out and I didn't want to warranty them since they were honestly garbage. 3 months and the finish faded off.... Now I'm running dually hypersots which are insanely brighter.

Its the sl1 and the ultra slim series. Pricing should be way different! The 48" is the same price as the 6"!? And the pods range from $20 to $90!

My experience with them started off good but after 2 bars that had moisture, the finish fading, driving all the way to corona and when I got home they gave me the wrong bar, and them not giving me mounting hardware, I would say their product and customer service sucks. They now want me to ship the other bad bar to them on my dime so they "can look at it and see if it's what I say it is". Stay away from these guys.

Well that's just great to hear...Mine are still in the box...guessing I'd better take them apart and reseal and then toss some paint on them as well while I'm at it.

Yeah I figured that the hard way. I chucked my pods since they were garbage. I have been happy with my rigid lights. Also considering Mike is never coming back on here the customer service has gone way down. But oh well live and learn.... While you guys are at it stay away from LED headlights.....
