Wondering how many out there have this setup and there shocks arent long enough. Like the Dakar leaf pack, providing 2.5"-3" lift theres no way the OME rear shocks are longe enough.
Mine are always topping out and it sucks.
i know why they do it though. "Brake lines" its the farthest the rear brake lines can drop without becoming too tight. But wont topping out the shocks, break them?

I am about to order Dakars and have the same question. I know there are lots of folks here running them but I am afraid of snapping them when the rear over flexes. Did some looking around this morning and saw these shocks which measure 27.2" ext x 16.75" collapsed and have 10.9" travel. I am thinking it may be a better way to go along with longer rear brake lines....thoughts?

I got Dakars waiting to go on in my shop. :bananadance: And I will run my new OME sport shocks for now. But If you plan getting longer shocks you also have to get bigger bump stops. Because the shock will bottom out before hitting the bump stops. and will destroy the shock also.

Thanks I learned this the other day and what you said about not needing longer brake lines for the shorter shocks makes sense. I decided to go with ext Icons coilovers in front and the standard Icons for the rear. I plan to order a set of Dakars myself today. Good luck with the install of your set.
