Have to agree were I lived it was pricey and only at certain times open...but you can get in a decent regular gym for $10-20 a month.
The one I go too now, is $69 month and open 24/7 and has everything you need besides weights and cardio equipment. The nice part $69 keeps a lot of the idiots out so it's a nicer, cleaner, friendlier atmosphere and I never have to wait in line for weights or equipment, everyone there takes it either serious or they chill at the outdoor pool area...

That's only half of the cardio equipment on a Saturday morning around 9:30

Your an idiot...i charge 70 bucks an hour for personal training, 130 a month for unlimited crossfit classes capped at 5 people. Whats ur definition of good shape egg man? Your gona get just as hurt in a regular fitness facility doing dumb isolation exercises. Your a typical "bro" who has no idea of how the fitness industry works. I have no problem with people not doing xfit but people who make false claims i find to be morons...

Yeah, I'm the idiot because I think crossfit sucks. Great logic there. Go do a bunch of high rep compound Olympic lifts over and over and tell me who gets hurt first. I've had one injury in the gym in my entire life. I saw a crossfit moron paralyze himself because he failed on a snatch. To each his own, but I'm not gonna pay for outrageous classesto workout nxt to a 45 year old soccer mom and fuck myself up doing retarded high rep compount olympic lifts.

Im a typical bro? Lmao. I'm not gonna dignify that with a response. And to answer your question, my definition of good shape is not sitting in a class where everyone looks the same after years of crossfit. I like my feathered lats, serratus/oblique separation, oblique veins, etc. Even the guys who train for the crossfit games don't train crossfit. That should tell you something, idiot.

    Egg man out.

    I'm the BIG 5-OH...soon to be 51.

    It does, if medically required.

I just perused the web and located typical symptoms associated with low T (of course one can be asymptomatic with this condition) and I don't have any of the medical indicators. But, I do think I'll have it checked on my next routine visit.

I spend $30/ on a gym. I dont need someone to teach me how to lift weights or keep track of my sets. I dont need to b in a class with people who arent near my level of finess. Go do olympic lifts to sets of infinity if thats what you thinks gonna make you acquire a good physique. Not gonna argue wit somoene who doesnt even look like they lift.

I'm not hurt? sure accidents happen (the barbell bounced of a set of weights, i met that guy last weekend super cool dude) I'm sure plenty of people in your globe gym franchise have fallen off treadmills and died do you think? even the guys at the games dont train crossfit? iv trained with several games and regional competitors so thats a false statement. i understand the price issue, however when broken down its not terribly expensive or when put into perspective. I'm sure your next argument will be rhabdo, yeah it happens. it also happens in, swimming, football, running, soccer etc...has anyone died from rhabdo in crossfit? nope, has anyone doing marathons died from rhabdo? you bet your ass. i think the number of crofters is up to 7-10million now, andddd no deaths...

you did give me a response i put in in bold up above...narcissistic much homie? those people who supposedly "look the same" which i doubt unless they have shotty coach would probably whoop your ass in absolutely anything but maybe a 1 rep max bench press....

your problem is you think everything is about physic? its not, its about health 99% of the populations goal isn't too look like a roided out BB. i even said in the first comment "unless your a body builder". do your physic shit i dont give a fuck just dont make false claimes because you dont belive in something, its brought more people off the couch in the last 5 years then just about anything else. your arm day routine isn't the end all be all to fitness.

And neither is your olympic lift sets to reps of infinity. Lets be serious for a second though... Why do most people work out? To get in shape. Shape to 99.999% of people is looking like a picture out of an anatomy book, not a roided out BB. I was just saying their are cheaper, better, SAFER and easier ways to get in shape without crossfit classes.

Shit's about to get real! Just gotta go to his doctor and convince him I'm a 51 year old with low T...

Crossfit is $100/month at my gym. I pay $25. I don't know if it's the instructors that suck or if the people doing it are only doing it because they think it's cool, but out of 30 or so people that take the class, I've only seen about 3 of them change their appearances.

It's great for some people. Jordan is in better shape than me (physique wise and cardiovascular wise). But I still refuse to do crossfit...because of the people around here that I've seen that do it. I'm probably in better overall shape than 99% of the folks that do it here.

id have to disagree and say your wrong and you are too caught up in your looks, most people are looking to get in shape to, lower their cholesterol, blood pressure, feel better and loose 2 inches off their waist. thats the young college kid mentality i want to go to the gym to look like a beast so i can knock up everything that moves, sure thats fine but its not what the vast majority wants. yes there are cheaper ways, but do you think someone fresh to the gym is gona have any idea of what they should be doing and how they should be doing it? it then makes it not efficient and definitely not safe, we see it all the time guys doing swinging hammer curls, snap city deadlifts or bouncing barbells of their chest. we make fun of them but in reality they dont know any better, they can't afford a trainer. crossfit is easy for new people in the sense of planning all they need is a one hour block and then all they have to do is "the work" it doesn't take any special planning on there part, show up and do it thats it. under good coaching its totally safe, yeah shit happens but shit happens in all sports and fitness programs, and sometimes a little risk is better than doing nothing at all. like i said no one has died in crossfit, 300k people die a year from sitting on the couch being sedentary and 20k die a year driving to work so which seems more dangerous, if it came down too it would you rather tear an ACL or have a bypass surgery? it does work and its measurable my clients 1rm lifts are going up, their mile times are getting faster, their body fats dropping everything is testable so i can show them they intact are making progress, people starting out need to be able to see they are making progress to stick with a program. Hence why i recommended it to him as a beginner it doesn't take any preplanning to jump into, granted he finds a good box. its intimidating for someone who doesn't go to the gym to walk in and then try and figure out their workout routine, just look how judgmental we are to videos of people doing movements incorrectly and 9/10 people arant gona offer someone help. everyone in a crossfit box is welcoming and friendly its not the head down and get to work mentality you see in a globe gym (which is great just can be intimidating).
