    Yes, but how often do you have to replace spark plugs and how often do you have to replace glow plugs? "South of cow town" - I'm assuming texas? If you live in Texas, you might never have to replace glowplugs. Ever. That's just one example.

    "I think your talking about 5-10 year old trucks. Not new ones." Yeaaaaa, now that I think about it....shut up lol. You're right, my experience is with the older IDIs and the newer PSDs, but not the 5 year old and newer diesels.

    South of Calgary :p. Actually glow plugs even here hold up well. Spark plugs will go a long ways too. Not much maintenance either way there I think.

    Glow plugs tend to go faster in colder weather but they still last waaaaaay longer than spark plugs (talking older vehicles here).

    I do an easy 18K a year.

    Deezul "might" be worth it to me...most likely be a wash in the end. The payload and torque of the Cheby is looking really good to me. More less the capacity of a 1/2 ton without having to buy a fullsize.
