Yes that's correct, also I just realized I typo-ed like a fool. Don't worry, when I mixed this up for use on my truck I absolutely used acetone and not ethanol:thumbsup:

The cheap castings will still have the 13WL markings on them. You will be able to tell by how rough the casting is compared to the OEM.

I did mine on the cheap.

Found a guy on a tundra forum that was selling his 199s since his truck upgraded to the 231s for free...think I got them for ~$100 for the pair. Rebuild kit from toyota was like $20.

Brembo blank rotors, ~$100 for the pair. Akebono ceramic pads ~$50. Don't have SS lines but I do have the right banjo bolt..so that was cheap too. All in all I got it done for under $300. I had to change out my rotors and pads anyway, so really the only "cost" for the upgrade was the calipers and banjo bolts.

Just finished my "repair" I sanded the chip down until the rust was gone. Taped off the area around it and used some white spray paint to cover it. It wasnt a very good match because I put a sticker over it after it dried.

Put my bed back together. I also replaced the throttle position sensor again so it runs correctly.

    1999 Red Tacoma 4x4 4cyl 2.7l 239,000+ miles
K&N Air filter and Oil Filter Royal Purple Motor and Gear Oil
Just bought my 1999 Tacoma with 239000 miles! Here is what I am working on.

    Done
    - K&N air filter
    - Replaced missing valve caps
    - Replace missing bed hook
    - Rail caps

    Bought and getting ready to
    - Change motor oil to Royal Purple 5w 30 with K&N oil filter
    - Drain and fill front and rear differential, transfer case, and transmition oil with Royal Purple 75-90
    - Drain and fill Coolant and Brake oil

    Next project
    - Bilstein HD shocks and struts
    - Fix diff leak at left driveshaft, maybe replace seal?

Any ideas on how I can increase performance and the longevity of my truck? I want this to last as long as possible, past 500,000 ;)

Longevity: keep doing routine maintenence when needed. Ditch the k and n air filter
Off road performance: lift and tires maybe gearing
Engine performance: trd supercharger... but that may affect longevity
