All purpose knife is a knife for every situations, the kind of survival knife that can handle all kind of tasks you will take along whenever you go hunt, fish, big games, small games,
Upland, water fows, cayotes, big cats etc... or even camping which knives
    and brands would you bring?
I have a K-bar potbelly that had been modified to extreme razor sharp edge and I take it everywhere in all outdoor activities and I love it.
What is your go to knives?

this one. Adventure Sworn Explorer. to describe it as sharp is too mundane..i cut my thumb tip off and never felt it. only the "spew" alerted me that all was not well. oh well, we are still friends.

i have run it thru a few animals, food in my home kitchen, my thumb, did some branch cuttings off my lemon tree...and i have yet to really put the blade to stone. it isnt super fancy steel. just bread/butter 01 tool steel. i love the thing. it is effen sharp!!

i'm still knife shopping. i am shopping steels now. i am pondering an AA forge knife in 52100 tool steel, and an Survive! GSO 4.1 knife in 3V, a super steel. after that, and the smoke clears, i hope to have a clear winner and a my solid go-to knife. for now, it is this one.

Mr go-to knife.: (it's not near as shiny now. blood is a great patina maker)

I still think you should look at Matt Paul Knives (MP Knives). Hand forged. Hand finished. Absolutely stunning.
