Damn you Toyota!

Been waiting for so long for my truck to arrive to the dealer, hard truck to find new or used. (mag grey 4 cyl manual 4x4 base) found a dealer who was willing to change the color of an incoming truck from super white to mag grey. Made the deal, signed the paperwork, gave them a big ass down payment that i've been saving for two years and started to wait. Over a month until today when the truck arrived, white. I want to have the truck for many years after i pay it off and i just don't want white...i know, picky, but for me it's a huge purchase and all that jazz. Now the dealer is looking for another one, toyota won't make another one because they are prepping for the 2016...Wtf it's july 2015 and you wont make a 2015 truck? Apparently there is one slated to go to a dealer in New Hampshire, but as i'm in california that doesn't seem too promising...was so ready to pick up my truck after 3 months of no yota! First world problems i guess but i'm bummed!

If you signed the paperwork and it said you were getting a specific truck don't you dare fold. The dealer may try to convince you to waffle but don't you dare! If you're really lucky it won't be possible for them to get the truck they promised you and then they owe you a settlement. DON'T be A BITCH!

Even though i love silver, white is just such a cool (temperature wise) color for a truck. I hate dark.... out of all the current colors (2014+) i would have to go white as the next lightest is a dark grey (much darker than my 2013 silver)

And white just looks clean and stays nice for MANY years.

I wouldn't accept anything but white. With that said, I was as picky as you are. You should get exactly what you want. Only problem is that you are late to the game. Take a look at the super white unite thread and maybe it will sway you

 

I'll never buy another vehicle that's not white. My last three have been, along with my wife's last three. White is way cooler, temp wise, shows its lines/contours better than any other colour, and is easier to keep clean than any other colour.

I will admit the Magnetic Grey Metallic is cool looking with black accents though.

Get what you want though. The last thing you want is to pick up your truck and later wish you'd done another color.

Have to admit... I have BHLM and Sport envy...

Oh those black headlights... that color matched bumper & grill...

 

White is the best color. Stays the cleanest, hides scratches the best, stays cooler in hot sun, and color matching accessories are much easier to find. I had a silver 2006 and almost immediately regretted it, partly due to the color.
