Can someone give me the height of the prinsu rack from top of cab to top of rack (Double Cab), specifically at the back of the cab, I am trying to size my bed rack such that the RTT will be level with the PrInSu cabrack, thank you

Does anyone (@zscott)know if Thule and Yakima bike racks and such will fit onto these roof racks?

Anybody swap their screws that hold the crossbars on with one way bolts so that attachments don't get stolen?

    If so, what size/threading?

still playing with wind noise. Covered the PrInSu cutout (on the underside) with tape to stop wind, as well as put electrical tape over the first bar's t-slots. Seems a *little* better. Currently have it on the middle position. will try moving the fairing back down next and see if that changes it any more. Probably try wrapping the first bar with bungee cord, or moving the first bar back a bit to see if that makes it any better. Living in Calgary, we're always having wind from the west, so it's pretty steady cross winds that are a bit extra annoying.

@zscott I love your products, and I saw the nice piece you made for Boxrocket's fzj80. Any interest in spec'ing one out to fit a FJ62? I'm not sure on the dimensions vs the 80, but if you still have the design handy I measured my roof specs on my 62. Let me know if this is something you might consider...

And again, props for the quality racks!

Have you considered sound deadener in the headliner? I've been thinking about doing it.

Won't lie, will be pretty unimpressed if I have to pull out my headliner cause of wind noise, rather than figuring out if the fairing is the issue. Feel like if it was installed at the bottom setting, no curves at the corners, long enough to go all the way up, it would do more.

Or I just need to get on a lift and putting bigger tires on it

That's what I do. I might throw deadener in though just for the hell of it. Turn the truck into a quiet cab.

Sounds like a plan if I decide on it. Seems easy enough. Just pull headliner down and install.

However, I also thought that our AAL install the other day would be easy... hahaha

Most people are able to tweak the deflector to mitigate the wind noise coming from normal driving. I will say though that I have experienced the crosswind noise before on a trip and I am not sure what to do for that. Since it has only happened to me once in a weird storm situation I didn't think much of it. Having constant crosswinds everyday is another thing all together.

    Not enough...
Every rack I've ever had produced a fair amount of wind noise ever with a fairing. More noticeable on quiet cars like my last X3 was.

I just got the rack with a light bar, so that will probably be somewhat loud, but I don't think I will lose my sleep over it. Plus te truck itself is pretty loud with the TRD exhaust.

Yeah, with more and more people buying racks I am getting more and more feedback. One of the main points is wind noise and the spectrum is large. I took my rack off last night to try and get a good baseline before adding it in various positions to test noise. I am hoping to get a decibel meter to check as well.

One of the biggest problems is the large variety of trucks out there. To a stock truck the rack probably adds more noise compared to a modified truck that already has tons of turbulence from offroad bumpers, lift, mud tires, lights, etc.

I'm not upset at all. I knew when adding a rack that there was going to be noise. I'm just looking for options to cancel it out. I'll try to tweak the deflector.

Oh that was the other thing. My bottom hole for the defector was not drilled in the correct place so I can't move it down. I'm at the middle setting and don't really care all too much but I just thought you should know.

Zach, all good. Still playing with it to figure it out a bit. I'm a bit anal as it's a pretty new truck
