Ok so I have been doing some research on these size tires.

My goal is to get the lightest tire possible; trying to get the best gas mileage while having an aggressive looking tire.
Based on my research; all of these tires average around 50lbs. I've noticed with stock gearing and a heavy tire; the truck seems sluggish. Im looking for a tire that weighs 47lbs or less. Anyone have any opinions on this?

    255/80/17
bf goodrich mud terrain are 46lbs
    255/80/17
Cooper Discover S/T Maxx are 51lbs

    275/70/17
BF Goodrich All terrain are 55lbs

    265/70/17
BF Goodrich All Terrain tires are 51lbs

    I bounce it offa stuff.
I like my 265/75r16 Duratracs, but not well enough to buy them again when I move to 33s. They do great on dry dirt and great on pavement for such an aggressive AT tread but have a helluva time shedding mud. Great tire if you run dirt and street and minimal wet stuff.

I bought the duratracs because they were the cheapest in a 255/75/17. It was either bfg mud terrains or duratracs. I didn't find alot of tire options at this size. I like the look of the Duratracs. I drive mostly on pavement and dirt to jobsites. We haven't had much rain here in Phoenix so I'm waiting to see how they do on wet pavement.

P255/75/17 for the win! Not sure on the weight though as it wasn't a concern when I purchased.

I noticed some manufacturers don't have the tire weight on their websites. I was trying to see what my toyo open country at IIs weighed. I had these on my Silverado, they rode nice on that truck. I didn't see them in a C rating in many sizes. I'm in the same boat. Looking for something light with a decent tread for my access cab 4 cylinder 4wd. So I don't lose too much power or gas mileage.

Are you happy with the 275's? If I get those I will get them in the bf goodrich. Combining them with the scs sr8 wheels.
