I have a 2015 Tacoma double cab 4x4 with the TRD off road package. I like the way 285/70/17's look. I do not wheel my truck. I'm old. I bought a 4x4 because I've always wanted one & I need it for some boat launches & to put my boat in my backyard during the winter. I live on a hill, steep driveway.

I purchased a pro comp level kit. Which is a 3 inch spacer & a 1 inch block for the rear. Got mistreated at a local off road shop & picked my truck up instead of letting them install it. That's all I wanted was level until my son put 285/70/17 Terra Grapplers on his jeep. I like the wide tire look.

OP - To clear a 285 with minimal rubbing you will need about 2.5" of lift up front. For the best combo of ride and performance, I would suggest some OME 885 coils up front with a 10MM Enhancer kit on either the OME or Bilstein shocks. Out back I would suggest some matching shocks and our 3 Leaf Multi-leaf Add-a-leaf set to provide about 1.5-1.75" of lift and a better riding/performing rear suspension.
