I have a new TRD and it has the standard BF Goodrich tires with the white lettering. What's good to clean those white letters that wont stain the paint or the wheels. I used to know of a product called Bleche-white but it was literally like real bleach. Any suggestions?

Same here. I've been using it for years to get all of the nasty out of my tires and it works great. Its the only thing I've found that takes the brown staining and crap out of the tires...

That product has been around for longer than i can remember.Although i don't have white wall tires my dad used that product on his classic cars when he was alive.

I've always used steel wool. A light brushing and the white looks good as new.

I had the same question as you a couple of years ago and found out some interesting details on the bleche white. It has been around forever and was really great on the old whitewalls. Original product was by Westleys, it is now a product of Black Magic and container will say new formula. I remember reading either here on tw or elsewhere that somebody compared contents and it had changed. Consensus varied but "old timers" seemed to notice considerable difference in effectiveness but I think they also noted it was much easier/less caustic when applying and easier on their lungs. I tried to find old original and never could. I tried the new formula and ended up returning it for refund. I get decent results using the old Ajax powder with bleach and stiff brush for white letters. If anyone knows where to get the original westleys bleche white let us know.
