So I got into an accident the other day. I was pulling into a parking stall when all of a sudden I hear a bang. Looked in front and behind and didn't notice anyone. I walked around my truck and found a bike under my truck with a guy trying to pull it out. I don't want to get into the details about the biker, but want to get some input on what my future awaits lol. Yes I do have full coverage on my truck and also the premium package from Toyota which includes gap and all that good stuff. The adjuster is coming out sometime this week to check it out.

Hopefully the biker is ok. Did you report it to the police? Any witnesses? Work with you insurance company encase the biker tries to come after you in a law suit.

Right I'd be most concerned about a law suit from the biker.

Would sliders have prevented the damage?

From your limited details and photos, I'm guessing the reason you don't want to go into the details about the biker, is because you made a left turn into the path of an oncoming motorcycle. This forced the rider to lay the bike down to avoid T-Boning you. Just a guess.

    This.

And if he has ANY injuries I would expect a lawsuit. I say this because as a rider nothing pisses me off more than someone cutting me off, pulling out in front of me, or turning left in front of me. And the "I didn't see him" excuse is not acceptable. If you can't see motorcyclists while driving you should not be behind the wheel. Not trying to be a dick. I just hope you learned a valuable lesson if this accident was indeed caused by you. To many people are more worried about texting, checking Facebook, eating, etc. than they are about making sure they don't kill someone on the road. Ok I'm done ranting.

That is why I said IF he caused it. If he didn't then great. I'm not trying to say it was his fault. And even if it was I understand shit happens and that no one is perfect.

I understand that but IF he didn't cause it then You would look like a total ass for saying it with an Assumption that he caused it. No need to jump down someone's throat.

You are probably right. I wasn't trying to assume anything but it probably sounds like I was. I just try to educate people on safe driving especially when around motorcycles because I have almost been killed a few times.

I'm simmered down. I apologize for jumping the gun. I'm not trying to cause problems.

Woah sorry I didn't hop on faster lol. Long story short guys he hit me. He slammed his front breaks, put the bike down and slammed into me. Insurance, cops, they have all been contacted. The reason I didn't want to get into details was because he actually didn't have a motorcycle license, insurance, or registration and actually fled the scene. So yeah lol. I've already contacted my lawyer just in case

Glad to hear you weren't at fault. At least the truck is fixable and you weren't injured.
